Chiang Mai
Pictures from PunPun Guesthouse:
Good: It gets so cool at night that I sleep in long sleeves and still need a blanket.
Bad: We are not happy with the PunPun Guesthouse. Fortunately we found a nicer place in a neighborhood more to our liking. It is more central so we can walk places. The other silver lining is the PunPun set our standards pretty low. It was safe and clean. But the Lanai style means the walls are very thin and the shared bathroom was cleaned only every other day. I was actually more concerned with the four of us leaving things a mess than the other guests we were sharing it with. There was no way to clean it after showering and it was one of those bathrooms where the shower is just in the main room. So each shower makes the bathroom wet all over. The kids are thrilled with our new place (TV and internet, what more can they want), though it is quite modest by our standards.

Surprising: It struck me in the middle of the night that the eggs I eat for breakfast have not seen a fridge between the hen and my stomach. Think I will have scrambled eggs from now on. Sunnyside up seems like living on the edge.

Inquiring minds want to know - what was so bad about the Punpun?
Just so you know, I eat eggs in the Philippines for 3 years that had never seen a fridge and I am none the worse for wear! I finally figured out how to find your blog and I am enjoying catching up on your adventures.
