Ikea Showroom

Budapest, Hungary
April 2nd, 2008

Bad:  Leaving Cairo and family behind.  It is especially hard since we do not know when we can get back.

Good:  Seeing Fran, Jim, Emma and Kyle (some of  our Minnesota relatives).

Surprising:  All the graffiti on this otherwise quite clean city.  While this is not Switzerland, compared to Egypt we are now in the land of anal retentives.  Our flat is like living in an Ikea showroom-down to the silverware that is the same as we have at Hearthstone & the table and chairset that Dan and Kathy have.  The global economy at work.

We are going to see a castle across the Danube today.  It may rain.  Better than the snow last week.

I hope you enjoy your time in Europe, I acn only imagine how hard it was to leave your family. Every Spring Break, I go up to Nevada with my dad to visit my "Aunt Susan" and "Uncle Jim" who are my dad's bestest friends. They have the most awesome daughters: Hope, Sarah, and Jaime.
My cousins who call my dad "Uncle Tommy" and so do their kids. Sarah has 2 of the worlds cutest children: Ashton and Tyler and Hope's daughter Amanda is such a sweetie. I see them 2-4 times a year and I cry soooo hard after we've said our goodbyes. I can only imagine saying goodbye to people youve seen almost everyday for a month. I admire you guys for being strong and leaving for Europe. Have fun and tell Maya to email me about Rome.
Love and Sunshine,
Miranda :)
