Hi from maya

  Hey everyone  it's me,Maya. I'm totally excited to be off on this trip. But I don't want to go either because I'll miss all of you so much.

  I know this is really boring to read but if you keep checking this I promise it'll be more interesting. I'm going to post a video blog soon (as soon as we get our video camera). So please stay tuned. And we're not gone yet, so for all those people that we know we hope to see you some time before we leave!

seven weeks and counting

Hello all,

Less than seven weeks before we go.  We've made our most important decision to date: how long to stay in the Happiest Place on Earth.  We settled on three days park hopping at Disneyland in the midst of a week long stay at Baba and Mimi's in Whittier.

The basic itinerary is:  Thailand in February, Egypt in March, April in Europe (land in Budapest and depart from Rome), and May and June in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Are we crazy?  It feels that way when Kalin and Maya start arguing.  But mostly we are excited about this family adventure!
